Delete Your Account

If you no longer wish to use Winklr, you can deactivate your account. Before doing so, we recommend downloading a copy of your data first.

Export your data first

Before deactivating, you may want to request a copy of your personal data:

1. Go to Settings > Download Data.
2. Tap Request Data.
3. Your data will be sent to your registered email address.

Steps to deactivate your account

1. Open the app and go to Settings.
2. Tap Account details.
3. Tap Deactivate your account.
4. Review the information carefully and confirm the deactivation.

Once confirmed, your account will be suspended for 14 days and you will be logged out immediately.

What happens when you deactivate?

• Your profile is removed from discovery, so other users will no longer be able to find you.
• You will be logged out of the app.
• Existing conversations you have had with other users may still be visible to them.
• If you log in again during the 14-day suspension period, your account will be reactivated.
• If you do not log in during the 14-day suspension period, your account will be permanently deleted.

Important notes

• Account deletion becomes permanent after 14 days if you do not log back in.
• If you just want a break from the app, consider turning off Discovery mode instead. This hides your profile and prevents others from finding you, without deleting your account.
