Creating Your Account

Creating a Winklr account takes just a few minutes. Here is everything you need to know about the registration and login process.

Step 1: Open the app and tap Sign Up

Download Winklr from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) and open it. On the welcome screen, tap Sign Up to begin.

Step 2: Fill in the registration form

You will be asked to provide the following details:

• Profile name (optional) -- This is your public display name, visible to other users. Maximum 40 characters. You can leave this blank and set it later.
• First name and Last name (required) -- These are private and used for account verification only. Other users will not see them.
• Date of birth (required) -- Use the date picker to enter your birthday. You must be 18 years or older to use Winklr.
• Email address (required) -- Used for login, verification, and account recovery.
• Terms of Service -- You must accept the Terms of Service to proceed.
• Privacy Policy -- You must accept the Privacy Policy to proceed.

Once everything is filled in, tap the button to continue.

Step 3: Age verification

Winklr uses Yoti to verify that all users are 18 years or older. After submitting the registration form, you will be prompted to complete a quick face scan.

1. Allow camera access when prompted.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to position your face.
3. Yoti will estimate your age from the scan -- no ID documents are required.

If the verification confirms you are 18 or older, you will proceed to the next step automatically. If the verification cannot confirm your age, registration will not continue.

Step 4: Verify your email

Winklr will send a 6-digit verification code to the email address you provided. Enter the code on the verification screen to confirm your account.

• The code is sent immediately after you complete age verification.
• If you need a new code, wait for the 60-second cooldown timer to finish, then tap Resend.

Step 5: Registration complete

Once your code is verified, you will see a "Welcome to Winklr!" confirmation screen. Tap Go to Login to sign in for the first time.

Logging in

Winklr uses passwordless sign-in. You can sign in with a passkey, Google sign-in, or Apple sign-in where available.

If you choose a passkey, your device will ask you to confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint, face unlock, PIN, or screen lock.

Troubleshooting

• Verification code not arriving? Check your spam or junk folder. Some email providers may delay delivery by a minute or two. Wait for the 60-second cooldown to expire, then tap Resend to request a fresh code.
• Email already registered? If you see a message saying the email is already in use, you may have previously created an account. Try logging in instead, or use a different email address.
• Age verification failed? Make sure you are in a well-lit area and your face is clearly visible to the camera. Remove sunglasses or anything that may obscure your face, then try again.
• Under 18? Winklr requires all users to be 18 years of age or older. If your date of birth or Yoti age verification indicates you are under 18, you will not be able to create an account.
