Child Safety
Winklr is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits, or endangers a minor, and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Every account must pass age verification before accessing the app.
If you ever come across something on Winklr that involves the safety of a child, please report it straight away — we treat these reports as our highest priority.
How to report a child safety concern
In the app:
- Open the profile or chat involved.
- Tap Report.
- Choose the Child safety concern category.
- Add any details that will help us investigate.
- Submit the report.
By email:
You can also contact our safety team directly at safety@winklr.app, which is our published point of contact for child safety matters.
If a child is in immediate danger
Contact your local emergency services first. You can also report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authority in your country:
- United Kingdom — the Internet Watch Foundation and the CEOP Safety Centre.
- United States — the NCMEC CyberTipline.
What happens after you report
- Your report goes to our team as a priority.
- We remove offending content, permanently ban the account, and block the associated device.
- Where content is illegal, we preserve evidence and report it to the appropriate authorities, cooperating with their investigations.
- Reports are anonymous — the reported user will not know who filed them.
